Final Review, Hus 28. 31 May, 2018. The final review took place one week after the Royal Institute of Art’s Fine Arts Spring Exhibition opened following the school’s closing ceremony. Up until this year, R-Lab also participated in the Spring exhibition, but this year we took exception and put more effort into producing a much larger book on the course participant’s personal projects and the collective workshops. For the final review on the 31, guest critics included Behzad Khosravi, Christina Pech, Matthew Ashton, Paulina Pukytē and Alessandro Petti. Not all the course participants were able to attend, and two elected to not present as we were running short on time. I was also fortunate to have a couple outside participants join our ranks: Mauro Tosarelli, Bret Steele, and Fernanda Ruiz. To all of you who attended the course, including all those who could and could not make the last week for the final presentations, I would like to express my appreciation for the high quality work produced, that is very evident in the personal projects and the workshops. Thanks for once again making R-Lab something really special. PTL.
